Dr. Cernansky attended the Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 1998 with a B.S. in general sciences. In 2002, he received his doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. While pursuing his doctorate, he was recognized for his achievements in academics as well as dental research. His residency and training in oral and maxillofacial surgery was completed in 2008 at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition, he completed medical school and received his medical degree during his residency. Dr. Cernansky has earned diplomate status from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2012.
Dr. Cernansky enjoys practicing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery and TMJ examinations. Additionally, he is on staff for a level one trauma center where he is instrumental in the evaluation and management of head and neck trauma.
Dr. Cernansky firmly believes in the advancement of dental education to continue quality care to the community and therefore volunteers with a local dental residency. He maintains staff appointments at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg, St. Lukes’s Hospital and the Fairgrounds Surgical Center.
Dr. Cernansky has memberships in the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Cernansky resides in the Lehigh Valley with his wife Krista.
