Dr. Block graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2010 where he was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Block entered active duty in the United States Navy where he completed a General Practice Residency and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
After completing his training, Dr. Block was assigned to the USS George Washington for the aircraft carrier’s 2015 Southern Seas Deployment. During this tour, he received military awards including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Battle Effectiveness Award, and became qualified as a Surface Warfare Medical Department Officer. In 2016, Dr. Block was transferred to Naval Health Clinic New England, where he served as the staff oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the region. He separated from the Navy after nine years of active duty service with the final rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Dr. Block enjoys practicing a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including extractions, dental implants, orthognathic surgery, and trauma. He holds a staff appointment at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Dr. Block is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Block is a member of the American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association.
Outside the office, Dr. Block spends his time with his wife, two daughters, and son. He enjoys triathlons, golf, and is looking forward to exploring the Lehigh Valley.
