Dr. Grim graduated from Lafayette College in 1974 with a B.S. degree in Psychology. He then attended Farleigh Dickenson University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctorate Degree in 1978. His Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Residency was completed in 1981 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Grim has been in private practice since 1981. In 1984, he and Dr. Popowich merged their solo practices to establish Valley Oral Surgery, P.C. with office locations in both Allentown and Bethlehem.
Dr. Grim earned Diplomat status from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1986. He holds active membership in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Academy of Osseointegration. He is also a member of numerous state and local professional organizations.
Dr. Grim maintains hospital privileges at Lehigh Valley Hospital and has served on the Surgical Executive Committee. He also has privileges at St. Luke’s hospital as well.
Dr. Grim enjoys all aspects of Oral Surgery and has a particular interest in implant reconstruction. He was instrumental in the introduction of implant dentistry by bringing national education and training to the Lehigh Valley. He continues to promote dental implantology as a co-founder and director of the Valley Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Grim resides in Bethlehem with his wife Licia and son Sean. He is a member of Central Moravian Church. He enjoys reading, skiing, traveling and the beach; however, he really, enjoys golf.
